PILOT PEAK WINERY PRESENTS

Nevada County Land Trust
7th Annual Benefit Event

Asleep at the Wheel
&
Cousin Cricket

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Pilot Peak Winery, Penn Valley CA

Gates open 5 PM * Concert begins 7 PM

Are you ready to dance? Get your cowboy boots and hats on and join us at our
7th Annual Stars Benefit Concert Event
on Saturday August 22nd.

Asleep At The Wheel, the undisputed "Kings of Texas Swing" fresh off a tour with Willie Nelson, will be rocking us on stage in Penn Valley hosted by the kindly folks of the Pilot Peak Winery.  Local favorites, the country western group Cousin Cricket will open the show featuring songs from their new CD, Ridin’ the Rails to Reno. This signature NCLT event is a must for music-lovers every summer. This year should be better than ever as we’ll be outdoors under the stars once again in a setting worth the price of the ticket alone. And our ticket prices, by the way, have been reduced to suit our recession pocketbooks.  You owe it to yourself to have a little fun on a budget.

When the gates open at 5 PM, don’t bypass our silent auction tent where you can bid on bountiful items from our local donors. Bring your Texas-sized appetite! Our theme is Tex-Mex, so you can choose your dinner from delicious Tex food offered by It’ll Do BBQ or scrumptious Mex food from Horn of the Bull Taqueria. Of course, there’ll be a selection of Pilot Peak’s award-winning wines as well as an assortment of fiine beer, if that suits your fancy. Visit our “Celebration of Lands” exhibit where NCLT partners with like-minded area groups to highlight the work being done to preserve the unique character of Nevada County.

Follow the various links to pre-shop our auction items, see detailed menus from all our vendors and choose the ticket package best suited for you. And don’t bypass our Peak Experience package which begins with a pre-concert gala on the terraced hillside of the winery. There, at 4 PM, you’ll enjoy a meet-and-greet reception followed by a fully catered dinner by Kat's World Foods.

Hope to see you there on the cool grass under the oaks. The views of Pilot Peak, the Spenceville Preserve and the surrounding area are stunning. Won’t you join us for this, our major FUN(d)raiser of the year?
