Encounter Nature
Nevada County Land Trust offers a variety of recreational and educational activities for people to engage with nature and appreciate our landscapes.  We invite you to take advantage of these opportunities to encounter nature up close.

Treks Program:
Guided outings and lectures throughout the year.
A variety of recreational and educational programs including moderate weekly walks for health; a series of walks for persons with limited mobility (including users of walkers and wheelchairs); guided rides for equestrians; hikes for individuals seeking to explore some of the area’s most picturesque or historic locations; and an entertaining and educational lecture series.

Youth Education:
Through exciting and educational immersion activities, we
design our youth programs to promote a community of appreciation, learning and exploration of our natural environment.  This includes year-around nature programs during Summer, and Fall and Spring school breaks as well as ongoing educational experiences designed to complement and enhance academic science curriculum.

Stars Benefit Concert Series: A Celebration of Lands
Nevada County Land Trust's largest annual fundraiser, the Stars benefit concert series, has evolved into a world-class outdoor music experience. The concert has built a solid reputation for offering top musicians in a natural outdoor setting that exemplifies the mission of the Land Trust.  In addition to the very important goal of fundraising, the event provides an opportunity for our community to gather and celebrate the spectacular landscapes of our home.
